SIAL.charity (La Scuola Italiana a Londra) is a Company limited by guarantee [No 6046404] and a registered charity [No 1119966].
Since its foundation in 2007, SIAL.charity has worked to promote the knowledge and support the understanding of the Italian language and culture in the UK.
The objects of the charity are the provision of a bilingual education not only for italian families but for the local community in our bilingual English-Italian primary school in London and the promotion of the Italian language through courses, clubs and events open to the general public.
MISSION
Our Mission is to make the amazing riches of the Italian language and culture available to as many people as we can reach by deepening the knowledge of those who already have an interest and awaken the curiosity of those who are new to it.
VISION
The Charity wants to establish itself as the main point of reference for the Italian language and culture in London and in the UK.
After creating SIAL.school, the first bilingual English-Italian school in the UK, the charity has worked unceasingly to widen the offer of courses and events aimed at the Italian and international community in London and in the UK.
In September 2018 the charity was appointed by the Consulate General of Italy in London to run all the Italian courses for children in primary and secondary schools in the South of England, under its patronage. The courses are organised with the support of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
In July 2020, under the brand SIAL.courses, the charity launched a comprehensive offer of Italian language and culture courses aimed at young and adult learners.
